Cross play Live now Overwatch, Allowing players to group and play together no matter what platform they are on. Overwatch can cross-play between PC, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.
Thanks to the latest Global Battle.net update, Blizzard has enabled cross-platform games, allowing you to decide to cross-host and PC team or fight with friends. As early as 2018, the studio expressed interest in introducing this feature into the game, so the engineering design of this feature may have been underway for some time.
Its arrival means that even PC players can now join players on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch-if they wish. This is happening in the context of Blizzard’s announcement that it will add cross-play features to the game earlier this month, so this is a very fast transition.
Even better, anyone who logs into Overwatch before the end of 2021 will receive a golden loot box to celebrate joining the crossover game. How sweet is it.
“By default, a group of console players will play with other console players,” Game Director Aaron Keller explained earlier. “A group of PC players will play with PC players, as well as a group of PC and console players.”
However, if you are a competitive player, don’t worry-this will not affect your ranking game. “Especially for competitive games, you will not be able to play as a team consisting of both PC and host players. Each of them has its own independent matching pool.”
This may be the best because it is generally believed that PC players tend to have an advantage over host players in a mixed player pool.
