Bargain hunters will get their money’s worth again this Thursday in the Epic Games Store. You can secure two titles for free.
The Epic Games Store remains true to its line and is again offering new game material for the PC free of charge this Thursday evening. If you have an account with the Steam competitor, you can get two games at the same time.
The probably more well-known representative of the two titles is Sonic Mania. The iconic blue hedgehog embarks on a fast-paced adventure in the game with his buddies Tails and Knuckles, in which you have to defeat bosses and move through 2D landscapes. The game remains true to the classic gameplay of the long-standing series.
Game No. 2 is Horizon: Chase Turbo, a racing game that is a tribute to many of the classics of the genre. The game was inspired by Out Run, Top Gear (SNES) and Rush, among others. Accordingly, you get fast arcade gameplay with modernized 16-bit graphics in 4K rendering. 12 cups, 48 cities, 111 tracks, 33 unlockable cars and 12 upgrades are also on board. You can play with up to four friends in the local split-screen co-op and there is also a competitive online mode called “Ghost Mode”.
Both games are free until July 1st, when they will be replaced by the next free title: the puzzle adventure The Spectrum Retreat.
With Sonic Mania Plus a revised and expanded version of the game has now been announced.
