The Steam Summer Sale 2021 has started. As every year, Valve is offering its big discount campaign – and thousands of games are sometimes drastically reduced. In addition, there is even a special summer campaign that revolves around heroic stories.
As usual, we provide you with our special tips from the tangle of offers and of course the practical price comparison with other shops.
Der Pile of Shame: Before you buy wildly, there is the annual oracle warning: Consider your pile of shame! So if you’d rather gamble something off the list, our advice on how to destroy the Pile of Shame will help you.
When does the Steam Summer Sale 2021 start?
The Steam Summer Sale 2021 went live on June 24th, 2021 punctually at 7 p.m. As always, expect the servers to collapse first and the sale to take a few minutes (or more) to get going.
When does the Steam Summer Sale 2021 end?
Because this is one of the biggest sales of the year, the Steam Summer Sale runs until July 8th – the gates also close at 7 p.m.
Is there another special summer promotion?
Yes, you click your way through a series of little stories to earn special Steam Badges to reflect your choices. A nice game, no more and no less.
Which games are reduced?
Valve slams the discount stamp on thousands of games. Here you can read what we personally think is particularly worthwhile.
Hunt: Showdown
Genre: Multiplayer-Shooter | Release: August 2019 | Price: 20 dollars (-50 percent)

Hunt: Showdown – Fabian Siegismund’s favorite shooter
Hunt: Showdown is a masterpiece for shooter fans looking for a real challenge. Alone or with a partner or two, we go cowboy-style monster hunting in the swampy Louisiana of the late 19th century.
In the biblical post-apocalypse, other players try the same thing, which adds a merciless PvP component to the PvE monster hunt. The right tactics, precise shooting skills and strong nerves lead to success – bad luck, hesitation and tremors, on the other hand, lead to the permanent death of your own hunter and the loss of expensive equipment.
By the way, now is a good time to get into Hunt cheaply, as developer Crytek will soon be releasing a third map. Then the horror trip to Louisiana feels fresh and dangerous even in weeks and months.
Our test shows that Crytek’s return to the shooter business is a direct hit that barely touches the magical 90s rating:

With the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4 are now available in one large package.

Promoting your favorite Bundesliga club into the Champions League or managing a small club from the very bottom to the top of the table … all of this is possible in Football Manager 2021. You have control over tactics, line-up, training, youth development and are of course also on the sidelines during the game.

You can read how good that is and where nicknames are disturbing in the test by our football expert with the resounding name of Dennis Zirkler:
