Guerrilla Games is working on an unannounced new version
All the lights of the PlayStation universe are turning in this 2021 towards one of the first big PS5 exclusives: Horizon II: Forbidden West. Many gamers’ hopes hinge on Aloy’s return this year (once it’s confirmed that the next God of War will be in 2022), though Sony is hesitant to announce a specific date at this time.
Although it has always been important within Sony’s network of internal studios, today more than ever Guerrilla Games has become one of the greatest values of the PlayStation brand. This Horizon Zero Dawn is the big responsible, but also the cutting edge technology that the studio provides, like the Decima Engine, which has been used by PS4 exclusives like Death Stranging or Until Dawn.
Former Rainbow Six Siege director has been working on a project with a team of developers for three years
The success of the Dutch studio has brought great developers to join its ranks to work on new projects beyond the Horizon sequel and this is precisely the case with Simon Larouche. the former director of Rainbow Six Siege, as GamingBolt points out, he joined Guerrilla Games in 2018, according to his own post on Linkedin and since then he’s been working on an unannounced project.
Larouche has been part of Guerrilla Games for three years, when he had already been part of its ranks, work on Killzone 2 multiplayer, which could give us some clues. Could Guerrilla bring back the Killzone saga? The last installment of the action saga arrived in late 2013, with Killzone Shadow Fall, a launch game for PS4 that didn’t leave much reviews. If Guerrilla plans to relaunch the saga, many of us agree that many new ideas are needed to renew it and regain the interest of the general public.
