Game news Forza Horizon 4: Playground Games is slowing down adding content

Development studio Playground Games recently announced the release of the next edition of Forza Horizon, the fifth member of the license, for next November. But today the studio was talking about his older brother.

On the occasion of a Forza Monthly video show, Playground Games first examined the impact the development of Forza Horizon 5 had on the monitoring and addition of content related to the work. As a result, the studio has chosen not to add any more content in future Forza Horizon 4 updates from the 37 series of updates.

With Forza Horizon 5 releasing our priority over the next few months, we’ve made a few changes to the monthly updates for the Forza Horizon 4 series.

Starting with the Series 38 update, players familiar with the game will see the return of content from Series 7 through 32 New Features.

While we don’t plan on adding new cars and features in the next few months, you should have fun revisiting those moments and seeing how you handle them the second time around. And of course, with all of our current series updates, you have the photo challenges, rewards, the Forzathon shop and the voting behind the scenes as usual. – Tom Butcher, Senior Producer at Playground Games

As a result, Forza Horizon 4 will not benefit from new cars or new features. But what happens to the game after the fifth opus is released?

We plan on making Forza Horizon 4 a fun experience, but we’re not ready to share what we envision just yet. – Tom Butcher, Senior Producer at Playground Games

As compensation, the studio talked about the technical specifications of the next part of the Xbox Series X | S and was interviewed in return to those regarding the Xbox One and the PC.

The default setting for the X series is 4K 30FPS and for the S it is 1080p 30FPS. On these two consoles you have the option to go to 60 frames per second. To achieve that constant 60fps rate, we’re going to turn off some graphics features to make sure you always get that refresh rate.

No matter what medium you play in, you will have a really great experience. On the PC side, we will announce the final system specifications shortly before it is released. – Mike Brown, Creative Director at Playground Games

Forza Horizon 5 will be available on November 9, 2021 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. It will incorporate the Xbox Game Pass upon release.
