The surprise and the total was if Nintendo hadn’t lost a little hastily: The colorful strategy game Mario + The Rabbids Crtins Kingdom Battle will have done enough for the manufacturer’s business to start Ubisoft to start a sequel that is always from the Ubisoft Milan developed little boys who want to deliver a big punch.

The presentation video officially broadcast during the Ubisoft Forward of E3 2021 had its small impact, and for good reason: The team responsible for the sequel to Sparks of Hope was able to change the test since David Soliani’s workforce has tripled from around 100 to over 300. CQFD. As with the largest productions of the French glove, several studios are now working on the project in addition to the heads of the original episode.
Hope brings life
Interview with producer Cristina Nava from her compatriots Multiplayer Italy, Soliani begins with some regrets:
I very much regret that, as in 2017, I was unable to attend the presentation in person. The explosion of joy after the announcement was something unexpected and I miss that physical contact. The game had leaked a few months earlier, and history repeated itself with Sparks of Hope. We are almost there …
As we all found out in the first trailer one of the most important novelties that he showed us is in the now much freer combat systemas it gets rid of its boxing system:
We believe this new mix of more direct control and real-time elements will really add to the formula. Of course we had to change a lot: For example, in the combat zone you always have a movement restriction, but you can move freely within this zone. We have also redesigned the exploration part: Now you no longer move Beep-0 as in the first episode, but control the characters directly, choose the team you want and explore the plants as you wish.
The art of war
The good news is that Ubisoft Milan have used the four years since Kingdom Battle was released to collect player feedback and improve the formula:
We’ve cost our community a lot, and some of the points we’ve been told have come true. Things I can’t talk about yet. I’ll give you an example anyway because it’s not a spoiler: many players wanted to be able to put their teams together freely. In Sparks of Hope a player can decide whether he will ally himself only with Nintendo characters or only Crested Rabbits or what he wants. Here is a small example straight from the community and which is now an integral part of the game.
Here’s what should make mouth watering for the amateurs of the colored strategy. You have to be patient: Mario + The Rabbids Sparks of Hope is only expected in 2022, yes, but on switch.
