Destiny 2 Seasonal Challenges Week 8 (Season of the Splicer)

challenges, Destiny, Season, Seasonal, Splicer, Week

Fate 2: Season of the Splicer’s Week 8 Seasonal Challenges arrived on June 29th, and in this guide we’re going to show you how to complete them all.

Some Season 14 Weekly Challenges are more complicated than the others. See the descriptions below for advice on the fastest way to complete these Seasonal Challenges – especially Before the Dawn, Speedhack, and Crack and Decrypt 3 in Season 14 – before they expire on August 24th.

Before sunset

Challenge: Talk to the splicer servitor and complete path of splicer 8 and open Corrupt Chests in Expunge. 20 damaged chests.

This mission takes a while. The Splicer’s Path section should be easy enough, but 20 Corrupted Chests will take some time. You need Corrupted Key Codes to unlock Corrupted Chests that appear at the end of Corrupted Expunge missions. Corrupted key codes drop randomly from enemies so all you have to do is play the game until you get enough.

Speed hack

Challenge: Complete the override mission in 15 minutes or less.

This challenge depends on your matchmaking. If you put together a good enough team, you can complete an override in 15 minutes with relative ease. If you get a bad team, you won’t make it. The more overrides you complete, the more likely it is that you will finish them.

Crack and decrypt 3

Challenge: Unlock Conflux Chests by completing Override Missions. Decipher the season of splicer engrams on the Prismatic Recaster. 45 Conflux Chests. 45 engrams.

For this you only have to complete 45 override missions with valid keys. If you’ve updated your splicer glove, you will likely get plenty of splicer engrams to decipher as well. If not, use your data to create your own.

Vexterminator

ChallengeMission: Defeat Mighty Vex anywhere in the system. Earn bonus progress for beating them in Override or Expunge.

All you have to do is kill a lot of Vex. If you’ve kept up with Season of the Splicer, you shouldn’t have much trouble completing this.

Original patina

Challenge: Purchase the “Primeval Patina” ornament for Null Composure.

Once you have the Null Composure Fusion Rifle, all that’s left to do is complete the Gambit-specific quest. You have to kill enemies with fusion rifles and solar weapons. You’ll also need to complete Gambit matches.

Trial by firing squad

Challenge: Win several rounds in Trials of Osiris. Seven wins.

All you have to do is win seven Trials of Osiris rounds. It’s a lot easier said than done, but that’s all you have to do.

Vestments of the vanguard

Challenge: Purchase the Vanguard Robes ornament for Null Composure.

As with the Primeval Patina, you’ll need to acquire Null Composure and then take on the Strike-specific mission for it. You have to complete Nightfalls and kill enemies with fusion rifles.

Make sure to complete all of these and the rest of the seasonal challenges if you want to complete the Master of All challenge by August 24th which rewards a big bright pile of dust.
