A gripping and varied story: After the world was saved in Gothic 1, the next apocalypse is just around the corner. This time nasty paladins and undead dragons threaten the fairytale realm of the later Risen and Elex developers. The game world is full of adventures with full sound. You can exercise different professions and join the different factions. Gothic 2 is characterized by playful freedom, which at the time scored a good 86 points in the GameStar test.
Demanding fights: While you can solve many assignments non-violently, in most cases you can of course not avoid using metal and magic. Fortunately, the fights are pleasantly crisp and yet tactically demanding. You go into hand-to-hand combat with swords, and magic spells help from a distance. In Gothic 2 you are largely free in which direction you want to develop and level up your character.
Even more fun on the night of the raven
An add-on that deserves the name: The Night of the Raven is the name of the large Gothic 2 add-on, which of course comes with the Gold Edition. You get a whole new story, new talents and factions. Added enemies are you with new weapons on the skin and and and. The Night of the Raven shows what an add-on should look like and scored 88 points in the GameStar test.
New “New World”: The secret star of the expansion is the new map area the cursed valley. The Cursed Valley is about a third the size of the main map and has all sorts of interesting places, NPCs and quests. The bundle of main game and add-on should keep you busy and entertained for many hours!
