New details on Tales of Arise are coming to us
Yusuke Tomizawa, producer, and Hirokazu Kagawa, director, and Minoru Iwamoto, artistic director, tell us more about Bandai’s new project: Tales of Arise. In this way, the team’s goal was to create an action RPG that everyone can enjoy. They therefore worked on the balance between attack and evasion, while setting up a system of counterattack that allows satisfactory responses. On the other hand, it was added a new system called “Boost Attack” and “Boost Strike”
The combat sequences are not the only ones to have been worked onRather, the cutscenes themselves were designed to feel closer to the characters. Iwamoto, for his part, put special emphasis on facial expression using high quality capture. The expression on the lips, angles and eyebrows have been researched in order to achieve new emotions in the characters. Likewise, Tales of is not only looking for beautiful graphics, but also to express the characters from different angles. The characters demonstrate their personality through gestures, not just their words or actions.
Following this summarized transcription of Gematsu, I only have to attach the video that demonstrates all of the above. Hopefully Tales of Arise is a breath of fresh air for such a renowned saga, as well as the Japanese-origin action RPG.
