Over the past few years, there has been a lot of talk about the manufacturing process for next generation iPhone processors. The iPhone 14 has been rumored to have a chip made using a 3-nanometer process, but that might end up not being the case.
But the next generation of the line iPad Pro Yes, it will have a chip made with the 3 nanometer process, or at least that’s what Nikkei tells us. The iPad Pro 2022 processors will be manufactured by TSMC and will arrive in the second half of next year.
The Nikkei post suggests that the first bullet of 3 nanometers It will come with an iPad – presumably an iPad Pro – and not an iPhone. In fact, they claim that the iPhone 14 will have a 4 nanometer SoC chip. This would imply that the 2021 iPhone 13 processor will be manufactured using the 5 nanometer process.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen rumors about the implementation of 3-nanometer chips in an Apple product, and it probably won’t be the last either. Either way, it will be a big disappointment for many consumers who expected the iPhone 13’s processor to be a big improvement over the previous version.
