The animation studio Lerche returns in 2021 with a new anime under the title of ‘Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo’ and the best of all is that you can already see his first promotional video introducing the protagonists.

Just over a minute long, in the video you will enter the rift to an alternate dimension of Japan under the name of ‘Shinkoku Nippon’, a version in which the region maintained militarism and remains stagnant in the Showa era.

When a portal is opened in the sky, Shinkoku Nippon begins to attack the Japan we know with his gas weapons “Genmu” and giant humanoid weapons “Garan”, resulting in a conquest over our world and preventing the beginning of the Reiwa era. .

A decade later, Japan has been renewed as Genkoku Nippon, a puppet state of Shinkoku Nippon. Under harsh censorship, once thriving manga, anime, idols, and similar subcultures have completely disappeared or so it is believed.

This is when the protagonists Hosomichi Kudō, a host who works in the adult entertainment neighborhood, Kabukicho, played by Seiichirō Yamashita, enters the scene.

Rin Akagi a fan of anime and special effects voiced by Ai Fairouz.

Yuki Aoba, an underground idol played by Aina Suzuki.

And Misa Kuroki a very smart hacker who loves retro games played by Shiori Izawa.

In it you will find Masaomi Andō (‘Kanata no Astra’) directing, while Makoto Uezu (‘Kengan Ashura’) writes and supervises the script for the first season.

Akio Watanabe is the designer of the original characters and Keiko Kurosawa is adapting the designs for animation, due out in October 2021.
