Mario Golf: Super Rush Backspin and topspin are two slightly advanced techniques. They are very different on difficult courses. Knowing when and how to add backspin and topspin may be the key to a better scorecard, but they can be tricky to use. Our Mario Golf Spinning Guide explains each type of spin and when you should consider using them.
Mario Golf: Super Sprint-How to perform topspin
Adding a topspin is easy: just double-click the “A” when setting the shot intensity.
The Mario Golf top spin can add extra spin to your ball. This means that when it lands, it still rolls forward a bit more than usual. Topspin can easily get some extra miles, so to speak, get some distance closer to the green from your shots. It is very suitable for longer holes and areas where you don’t have to worry about whether the ball will encounter obstacles.
Mario Golf: Super Sprint Maneuvers
Press “B” when setting the shot strength to add backspin to your shot.
Mario Golf backspin is the opposite of topspin. It applies a backward spin to the ball, slowing down the shot and causing the ball to roll back when it hits the ground, depending on the level of the ground. Backspin is useful for trying to set a more accurate shot and when you think you might exceed the target.
However, there is a second type of backspin.
Mario Golf: Super Rush
Unsurprisingly, the super spin is a more powerful spin. It does the same thing as a regular backspin, but guarantees that the ball will roll back once it hits the ground. Mario Golf Super Spin is ideal when the wind may blow your ball too far or you think you will fall on the edge of an obstacle.

Mario golf spin and other spin types can greatly reduce the score and get more character points. It may take some practice to get used to it, but it will definitely pay off in every mode.
