Sony recently emphasized that it wanted to invest more in the PC sector. In addition, they have now struck and incorporated a studio with plenty of PC experience.
More PlayStation-exclusive blockbusters are to find their way to the PC in the future, and Sony is now apparently getting external help in-house. The PlayStation manufacturers are doing the same to Microsoft and have now struck the market again to integrate a development studio into the in-house PlayStation Studios.
In this case we are talking about Nixxes software. The Dutch developer has made a name for himself in game development and optimization over the past 20 years – especially in the PC sector.
In the future, Nixxes will be part of the PlayStation Studios Technology, Creative & Services Group. There the team is now supposed to deliver high-quality technical and development capacities for Sony’s first-party area.
In the past, Nixxes has increasingly focused on PC ports and has worked on a variety of well-known brands in this context. Among other things, they also supported Crystal Dynamics in several Tomb Raider games or Marvel’s Avengers. Other work by Nixxes is the PC versions of Hitman: Absolutn or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
