Fallout and Dragon Age composer works with Bethesda on Starfield

Age, Bethesda, composer, Dragon, Fallout, Starfield, works

The music in a game is one of the most relevant factors when it comes to connecting with audiences. There are a lot of melodies ringing in our heads that make easily identify the game or the franchise in general. The chords of The Elder Scrolls or the songs of Halo despite variations in the different deliveries, are easily recognizable.

For this reason, from Bethesda, they thought it would be ideal to have a talent already known to create the Starfield soundtrack, their biggest and most ambitious project ever. In the words of Todd Howard, the game will have connotations of “The Elder Scrolls in space”.

Inon Zur will put the music on Starfield

The well-known face is Inon Zur, a composer who has scores in his records in Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and Fallout: New Vegas, the Dragon Age saga, EverQuest and recently collaborated with Square Enix on the music of Outriders.

Todd Howard’s words about the composer are all a compliment and leave a trace of the good relationship that seems to exist between the two parties. And no wonder, they’ve already collaborated on several Bethesda games together.

One of the first things we start with in a project is the music. Our good friend and longtime collaborator Inon Zur has created a beautiful and wonderful score for Starfield. We can’t wait to share more.

The creative also had kind words for Howard and his team in his personal website, where it ensures:

I would like to invite you on an epic new musical journey that I have undertaken over the past few years. Today, I can finally reveal that I am the composer of Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios’ first new IP in 25 years. So we can’t wait to share our unique and classic sci-fi direction for the music of Starfield. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer with a preview of what to expect! “

My admiration and thanks to the incomparable creative visionary Todd Howard, the extraordinary Audio Director Mark Lampert and the entire BGS family, for their bold artistic ambition and the honor of entrusting me with their next groundbreaking rpg experience.
