Illfonic broadcasted its latest game live on State of Play.
arcade It is a new game from Predator: Hunting Grounds and Friday the 13th developer Illfonic. The game was announced at the State of Play show on Thursday and will be released in Early Access on PC and PS5 soon.
Arcadegeddon is an online shooting game that takes place in a super arcade game created by a local arcade owner. Can be played solo or in cooperation with three other players, Arcadegeddon will bring you into the game to defend against viruses released by large companies trying to take over the arcade.
The game consists of three biomes with different themes, in which you will shoot around, fight with bosses and get loot. You will also encounter various small games, which you can play with your friends. Arcadegeddon is mainly a PvE game, but it does have a clever PvP twist: the challenge is randomly issued, and the task is for players to take each other away to obtain additional loot.
The game has the punk rock art style of the 90s, inspired by Gorillaz and Muppet, and backed by the original soundtrack.
The early access version is now available on the Epic Games Store on PS5 and PC, at a price of $20. Illfonic estimates that it will take about seven months to graduate from Early Access. During this period, you can look forward to regular content updates and monthly patches.
