DICE is slowly revealing details about the second major experience of Battlefield 2042.
The first episode of EA Play Live Spotlight focuses on first-person shooters.Although it did not bring us much news to talk about, it did reveal more hints about the Ripple Effect (DICE LA) development model Battlefield 2042.
Christian Grass, the general manager of Ripple Effect, is one of the team members, and he is somewhat open to the model his team is working on. According to Grass, the new experience will incorporate some of the fans’ favorite maps of the series into “Battlefield 2042”. This is quite consistent with the official description of the model, which is officially called “a love letter to core fans.”
It also provides credibility for some leaks around the model. Known as the Battlefield Center, it is said that this experience not only includes the remaking of classic maps, but also extends to weapons, vehicles and scenes in old battlefield games. There are rumors that this will be a sandbox experience designed for action, but not necessarily the most balanced.
The Ripple Effect experience will be officially announced on EA Play Live on July 22, and the third experience of “Battlefield 2042”-Danger Zone will be announced before the game is released.
“Battlefield 2042” will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on October 22.
