Geralt in the bathtub, live music and a solid start date for Season 2 of the Netflix series from The Witcher! The first WitcherCon brought the information eagerly awaited by fans to the light of day.
When does the second season start? You have to be patient for a few more months. The Witcher Season 2 begins on December 17, 2021 on Netflix.
What else was there to Netflix’s The Witcher?
The Witchercon began with a casual discussion between the actors and showrunner Lauren Hissrich. The illustrious troupe answered questions from fans and spoke, among other things, about the relationship between the witchers who appear in season 2 of The Witcher.
Writer Hissrich explained that she and Geralt actor Henry Cavill were looking for parallels between his real and his series persona. There were many of them, as Cavill grew up with brothers and also came from a military family.
There are therefore many similarities to a sworn sorcerer clique that fights together, but also spends a relaxed time together. This creates a strong bond that should come into its own in season 2.
Many other topics were covered, from monsters and the actors’ relationship to their role to difficulties with individual scenes from Season 2. Of course, everything in the cheerful, but thoroughly informal tone of a well-planned PR event.
A special highlight was the video link with Delphinium actor Joey Batey, who used his comedic talent to read out a few made-up »fan submissions«.
