Somewhat surprisingly, Sony already had news about the line-up of PlayStation Plus for the coming month of August at yesterday’s State of Play. So the first free title has already been determined.
Normally Sony announces the new free games on PlayStation Plus shortly before the start of a new month, but as far as August is concerned, at least in one case they have been nailing their heads in advance.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends was presented at yesterday’s State of Play. The title is currently in Early Access on the PC, but will now also make the leap to the Sony platforms PS4 and PS5 exclusively in the console area. The date given for this was August 3, 2021; The PC version also leaves Early Access on this day and is available as a full version.
Better still: Right from the start, the PlayStation version will be available free of charge to PS Plus subscribers – on both PS4 and PS5. In both cases you can download the good piece from Mantisco directly and get started. Cross-play will then also be supported directly.
Hunter’s Arena is a combat-based battle royale game for 30 players that consists of PvP and PvE battles. The old age of the demon hunters acts as the setting, so that you also have to deal with all kinds of monsters while you upgrade your skills and collect items in order to be successful on the battlefield against other players.
At the start of the full version there will be five new hunters and warriors compared to the current Early Access version: Momo, Dalgi, Wu Kong, Pigsy and Sandy. The roster will then consist of a total of 17 characters. The map is getting a little smaller in order to achieve a more intense gameplay, the combat system has been adjusted with additional options.
