Season 24 of Diablo 3 starts on July 23, 2021. The new season begins a few days after the upcoming update 2.7.1, which is expected to be released on July 20. Blizzard gave the info in Blog post known.

Diablo 2 Resurrected: All information about the remaster
Ethereal weapons return
The volatile weapons, which have special skills and dissolve in favor after a certain time, find their way in Diablo 3. With Season 24 each class gets three unique Ethereal Weapons, which corresponds to a total of 21 weapons.
Each of these weapons is armed with a random Legendary Power and Class Skill. The Ethereal Weapons are a rare loot drop. And as powerful as the weapons are, they are also fleeting. In addition, Blizzard equips them with a new original sound effect to underline the nostalgia acoustically.
Of course, Blizzard doesn’t just throw the whole thing into the game, but rather combines the return of the classic items with an entry in the history of Diablo 3:
“As the nephalem look back on the history of Sanctuary, instruments of power from a bygone era reappear. The ethereal memories will give unimaginable power to those who seek them persistently. Legends of the past re-emerge in the present, and you must decide how you make the best use of these gifts – because ethereal power is inherently ephemeral and will soon be nothing but a myth again. “
And because the campaign is not only intended as a nice fan service, but also as an advertisement for the remaster, pre-orderers of Diablo 2: Resurrected will receive a transmog for the barbarian in the style of Diablo 2 called Heritage of Arreat.
