Assassin’s Creed Infinity could have an unexpected edge

While some fear that Assassin’s Creed Infinity may follow in the footsteps of some live service games that have had a checkered history, at least one industry insider believes there is the possibility of one or two expected benefits when Infinity finally came out.

The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Infinity was first announced and then confirmed by Ubisoft earlier this month. With the game still years away from its release, not much is yet known about what it will offer. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier thinks that Assassin’s Creed Infinity could change the series for the better.

Schreier wrote on Twitter that he saw quite a few “bad opinions” about the game. Apparently he thought most of those bad reviews were focused on Infinity’s long-awaited live-service format. However, he believes that Ubisoft could end up making a change that some members of the fan community has been asking for it for a few years.

The reporter believes it is very likely that Assassin’s Creed Infinity will continue to have a single player mode. He also considers that it will be a constantly evolving and expanding platform with new content, and with this it is possible that the developers can experiment with history and don’t do it for hundreds of hours, because the content can change.
