The MCU’s latest proposal for Disney Plus, ‘Loki’ is about to come to an end. This Wednesday we will see the outcome of the first season of the live-action series The God of Mischief, and we must admit that the theories that haunt our minds are taking over our normalcy.
Understanding that the ‘Loki’ series focuses on the protection, or destruction, of the Sacred Timeline, we have come to the conclusion that the possibilities are endless when the end of the series is concerned. So we are here to talk with you about what we think will happen.
Of course, none of this has to be true. Especially if we evaluate the performance of the fans with ‘WandaVision’, but, we prefer to be prepared for the blow.
Give rise to a new season
Yes, they are right. This is not a theory or anything like that, but we believe that before talking about possible “endings”, we have to clarify that our main expectation is that ‘Loki’ has more than one season.
Let’s see, of course we would like everything to be resolved in the sixth episode, but, understanding that ‘Loki’ has offered such good results for the platform, we believe that Disney and Marvel will extend this wrinkle as much as possible. But, as no one has confirmed such a possibility, we will have to wait for Wednesday.
Introducing Kang the Conqueror
Before the official premiere of ‘Loki’, we had already talked with you about what this series would mean for Phase Four of the MCU. In those lines we commented on the rumors that claimed that Kang, the Conqueror would make his first appearance in the MCU in an episode of the show.
It is assumed, according to what is already confirmed, that Kang will be the villain of ‘Ant-Man 3’, but in view of the MCU’s connections, many assured that his first appearance would be in ‘Loki’, especially because of the apparent connection that the series has shown to have with the quantum realm.
After the fifth episode, the introduction of Alioth as the guardian of the Void and the presence of Ravonna Renslayer as a double-edged sword, everything seems to indicate that the real villain behind the TVA is Kang. But, we only have to wait a couple of days to confirm it.
Now, this is where this theory enters into “evaluation”, since, if Loki and Sylvie do find Kang in the golden citadel that we saw at the end of ‘Journey into Mystery’ they will not be able to defeat him, because they still need to clashes with Paul Rudd in ‘Ant-Man 3’. And, The Conqueror cannot be shown to be fragile, much less if he poses as the “new” Thanos.
He Who Remains is the real villain
If ‘Loki’ sticks to the Marvel comics, we might expect to see another villain in the golden citadel, like He Who Remains. Like Kang, he lives within a city located at the end of time, a description that, if you remember, fits perfectly with what was discussed in the fifth episode of the series.
In the comics, He Who Reamins is the creator of the Guardians of Time and is the secret director of the TVA. For the same reason, it makes all the sense in the world that he is the one who is manipulating the organization and trying to “save” the Sacred Timeline.
In the comics, it is Thor and Janes Foster who face the One Who Remains, but in the series it would be Loki and Sylvie who make him reveal his plan, especially explaining why they erase his memory of normal thinking from the timeline and why there are variants that have not even committed crimes.
In this case, everything seems to indicate that the TVA and the Timekeepers could remove the label of “villains”, but why hide if their intentions are positive? Again, we continue to believe that a second season could explain it better.
The real enemy is Loki. A Variant of Loki.
In case anyone has contemplated the possibility that the true villain of all this is a Loki, well, perhaps they are right. Rather, if you ask us, Sylvie begins to look quite suspicious.
In the words of our beloved Mobius, “you throw a stone into the Void and run into a Loki”, so who could be “evil” enough to violate the timeline? A Loki, of course.
What Loki? It is not known, but, understanding that the Loki have not been able to escape their “curse” of always being alone, and being the second course, it is only logical to think that it is a Loki who is trying to end “normality”. Also, if we think of “power”, the Classic Loki has already shown us that it is powerful enough to fake its own death. Who tells us that he did not do it again?
Suppose it is not the Classic Loki who is behind all this, the truth is that his character already demonstrated that the Loki have incredible power, so who else could have erased the memory of all the members of the TVA? Also, again, according to Mobius, the TVA has “killed” more Loki than we can count, so it is possible that one is powerful enough to be fighting back.
So, Loki and Sylvie could be meeting an evil version, and more powerful than them, who, like the romantic pair, is looking to destroy the TVA, or using it as a cover for their “antics.” If you ask us, that the pair must face a version of themselves sounds a lot like the series we’ve been watching.
The madness of the multiverse is unleashed
We all know that these series on Disney Plus are behind one goal: to present us the previous one to the chaos of the Multiverse. So, ‘Loki’ could be that great MCU nexus event, where ending the TVA unlocks “order” and we must prepare so that everything can happen.
Whoever is behind the TVA, we believe that the series must show the end of the tyranny of time, especially for the Multiverse to become a reality. Not for nothing after ‘Loki’ comes ‘The Eternals’ and then ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
For the same reason, and understanding that something must happen to get the attention of Doctor Strange and that the character enters the playing field, we believe that chaos will reign in the last episode of ‘Loki’.
While some claim that the TVA could “reform” and thus the entire MCU continues as we know it, we believe that if there is a series to introduce the concept of Multiverse, that is ‘Loki’.
