The video game industry is advancing by leaps and bounds. The new generation of consoles have been with us for over 6 months now. While it is true that for the moment we have not been able to appreciate a noticeable change in the graphics aspect of the games, the real progress remains to come from the hand of Unreal Engine 5. We know that Coalition, the franchise development team Weaponry of war For years it would be doing a new tech demo at GDC 2021. The company seems to have decided to give us a screenshot of the supposed tech demo it calls “Alpha Point”.

There isn’t much to see as we show you right below. Just a diamond-shaped object floating inside some sort of cave. The screenshot is tagged as captured in the Xbox x series. Regardless of what we can see in motion, the contrast of the lights will likely be used to show the full capacity of this engine. Note also that the use of Unreal Engine 4 in Gears 5 it was excellent, squeezing the engine to the max and being one of the rounder games of the previous generation, graphically speaking. And Coalition continue to work at the same level in the next phase of Gears With UE5, the result can be spectacular.

This year’s GDC will be held July 19-23. The Alpha Point technical demonstration will be broadcast on the 20th and from the Xbox Space, we will be waiting for you to keep you informed of all the Xbox news.
