MY.GAMES and Allods Team Arcade presented their 2D action adventure in a detailed panel at the PAX East online fair.
The developer and publisher presents a new gameplay walkthrough with Game Director Leonid Rastorguev, takes a look at other exciting elements of Blast Brigade and announces that the game will enter Steam Early Access before its final release.
Each of the four characters in Blast Brigade has functions that enable players to deal more effectively with opponents or to open up new areas of the map. Galahad proves to be strong at destroying armored enemies or obstacles while Shura copes well with opponents and moves skillfully with the help of a grappling hook.
Players must use the special abilities of each of the four playable characters to traverse the levels and unlock new areas of the map. The world is made up of ten different ecosystems, and the presentation also shows the different dangers that players face in each zone.
In addition to the gameplay, MY.GAMES also shows a look behind the scenes in the creation of the fully animated cutscenes that will be included in the game.
From the storyboard to the animations to the finished product, all cutscenes are developed with the help of an external studio. Likewise, the music is created by an outside expert who gives an overview of his creative process in creating the diverse, almost two-hour soundtrack for Blast Brigade.
It was also announced that the game will enter Steam Early Access in September. The version planned for Early Access will mainly serve to collect feedback on the feel of the core components of the game.
