Just announced, the second season of “Loki” has to cope with a setback: An important person is not returning, as Netzwelt reveals.

• For “Loki” director Kate Herron is that MarvelSeries ended.
• She’s not returning for the first just announced 2nd season back.
• Kate Herron directed all 6 episodes of “Loki” Season 1 and made a decisive contribution to the MCU show.

To get straight to the point: none of the popular leading actors around Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie) and Owen Wilson (Mobius M. Mobius) is in the MCU series “Loki“dropped out. But director Kate Herron put all 6 episodes of the show on.” Disney+ staged, has the branch sheet Deadline told opposite that she will not be available for Season 2 of the Marvel series.

The director said she was looking forward to seeing Season 2 “as a fan”. She is also currently not engaged in other Marvel projects.

Fatal exit for the 2nd season of “Loki”?

Kate Herron’s influence on the Marvel series “Loki” cannot be overestimated. As Deadline still reports, Herron had a decisive influence on the comic series: Her pitch convinced Marvel, it brought stylistic influences such as the sci-fi dystopias “Blade Runner” and “Minority Report” into “Loki” and thus into the MCU and also important casting decisions (apart from Tom Hiddleston, of course) go back to Kate Herron.

It remains to be seen whether Marvel Studios can easily compensate for today’s exit in season 2 of the show on Disney +.

Maybe Kate Herron will be persuaded to participate in season 2 after all.
