Monster Hunter continues to thrive in mainstream spaces, getting the first glimpse of its next animated film.
From the hand of Netflix, his first preview was released, which tells an original story within this universe full of fantastic creatures. It is the story of Aiden, a young man with big dreams who discovers the power of monsters.
Being saved by a hunter named Julius, he realizes the true conditions he needs to be able to defend his village and to be able to defeat the most powerful creatures in the world. Julius is on the trail of a powerful ancient dragon that is destroying everything in its path.
Gathering companions and learning new skills at all times, Aiden’s adventure to save his village is coming to the Netflix platform starting next August 12.
In the trailer we can hear the iconic voice of Dante Basco, immortalized as the one who gave life to Prince Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender, as well as being a renowned figure on the internet in Western animation spaces.
Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild is the second cinematic presentation of the Capcom series, following the premiere of the live action version last year. Both works seem to be completely distant from each other in every way, but they keep trying to keep growing the brand.
This new film will seek to obtain better reviews than its counterpart with real actors, since for many it was not the success that was expected. With a story much closer to the storylines of the game series, at least they go in the right direction.
With the recent release of Monster Hunter Rise and a summer that will be marked by Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, these will be hectic times for Capcom’s successful series, which continues to generate a lot of revenue, only being surpassed by the Resident Evil series in Profits.
