The first season of Fortnite: Chapter 2 runs a little longer than originally planned. Epic Games has now confirmed on the official website that it should not end until Thursday, February 20, 2020. On this day, Season 2 starts with fresh game content. At least Epic Games communicates this as an "expected" launch date.
By the end of the first season, Epic Games wants to shorten your waiting time with new bonus challenges and another two-week event. Further details will follow shortly and have not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, the release of version 11.50 has been announced for the beginning of February, and this will bring a technical innovation. Fortnite will switch to the new physics system called "Chaos" of the Unreal Engine.
"This new technology holds a lot of potential for Fortnite, but first of all, we want to make sure Fortnite continues to play like Fortnite. We start testing with a small group of players, as problems may arise at the start of implementation. We keep a close eye on your feedback to keep improving the system, "the developers say.
