These were the six EA Play announcements

announcements, Play

EA Play was the only major event confirmed for this month and it just ended with just six announcements. Also, only a couple of them are really relevant, while the rest were things that we expected or already knew about, which is why we have seen another disappointing event in 2021.

Of course, the two big announcements at the end can fix the night for more than one, but let’s start in chronological order.

GRID Legends

We learned months ago that EA acquired Codemasters and already has them making exclusive games. The English company has more than two decades of experience developing car games, so a new GRID does not hurt. It arrives in 2022.

Apex Legends

The new season of battle royale will arrive on July 26 with Seer as a new playable character. It was briefly introduced to you a few days ago and now we got to see a new trailer with graphics of the game. And as usual, the second trailer shows the new legend showing off his skills.

Lost in Random

The Zoink Games title featured a new trailer to basically confirm that it will arrive on September 10th. We already talked about this EA Originals game a few weeks ago that will debut sooner than we expected

Knockout City

The second season of the “burned” game will arrive with a new map, equipment and balls on July 27. A few weeks ago the roadmap was revealed that is confirmed with this new trailer that advances some of the mechanics.

Battlefield 2042

The DICE game is perhaps EA’s most anticipated of the year. Today was shown Battlefield Portal, a customizable game mode that lets us change the rules of the title to surreal limits. The trailer shows how we can organize 1 vs 40 games, only that the solo player has a tank and the other 40 only engineer tools.

Remake de Dead Space

A teaser trailer with recognizable elements of the saga reveals that the rumors were true. Dead Space returns from Motive Studios as an exclusive remake of the next generation and PC. There are few details so far but the trailer confirms that the graphics engine will be Frostbite and that we will control Isaac Clarke again.
