Square continues to hold on to the rather floppy Marvel’s Avengers and continues to try to bring fresh customers on board. For example through Free Weekends, which will be available soon.
Anyone who has always wanted to get a taste of Marvel’s Avengers, but has not yet dared (or did not want to spend the money), will soon have the opportunity to do so. From July 29th to August 1st there will be a Free Weekend, during which you can play the game for free. As always, there is a catch, Xbox owners are looking down the drain for the time being. The Free Weekend will only take place on PC, PlayStation and Stadia. Xbox players should also be able to enjoy it, but the date for this is still being agreed.
During the Free Weekend you have access to the complete game along with all free expansions, including Kate Bishop and Hawkeye. Game progress will be carried over should you decide to buy and want to continue playing.
That Square wants to attract new players to Marvel’s Avengers again comes as no surprise. After all, the next expansion, War for Wakanda, will appear in August, and the game will celebrate its one-year anniversary in August and it is not unlikely that there will be some extra goodies on the occasion.
