The first Halo Infinite multiplayer technical flight is coming soon, and 343 Industries has outlined its expectations.
In the latest Inside Infinite update, 343 reviewed Halo: Infinite The technical flight will be tested.
According to the developers, the technology preview will focus on testing the Halo Waypoint Companion for mobile and web. You will also test the Battle Pass UI, challenges and custom menu navigation.
Insiders will also test multiplayer robots in the Bot Arena playlist, where 4 players will fight 4 robots on the arena map. For this technology preview, the Bot Arena experience will use Slayer on three maps: Bazar, Recharge, and Live Fire. There are four styles of robots: Recruit, Navy, ODST and Spartan. Each level represents the improvement of robot skills.
The team is planning to use bots to provide daily content, which will continue to evolve during the flight based on the overall participation of participants. Things will start to slow down to help everyone adapt to the environment, but over time, robots will provide more kinds of greater challenges. As the robots currently have some “quirks”, 343 hopes to include them in flight for additional testing.
The flight will be available to Halo Insiders on PC and Xbox as early as next weekend, and will be available to “hundreds of thousands” Insiders. If all goes well, the studio will invite more qualified Insiders for the next flight.
Before the flight begins, 343 will host a live stream, where it will gain insight into the construction and provide a walkthrough of almost every aspect of the technology preview.
The exact date for the test has not yet been provided, but it may be conducted “as soon as next weekend”.
