According to official notesreleased today, we have the following improvements in a patch that weighs around 40GB. All in all, it is hoped to create a smoother experience for users:
- Improved multicore support for CPU.
- Better memory and GPU usage.
- Faster loading times.
- Stuttering has been significantly reduced.
All of this translates into a significant increase in frame rate, as well as more consistent overall stability. Notably Microsoft Flight Simulator stays on DirectX 11 on PC, so that step has yet to be taken to the next version, which leaves even more room for further improvements.
