With August the start of the next season in PUBG: Battlegrounds is also imminent. The makers are revising two maps again.
The starting shot for PUBG: Battlegrounds season 13.1 is to be given on August 4th on the PC, before the console versions will follow on August 12th. In the course of this, the makers of course want to implement a series of updates again, above all the revision of two maps.
The focus is on the recently published Map Taego, which is set in South Korea in the 1980s. Here you can look forward to the introduction of the Taego Secret Room, which appears randomly on the map and contains some of the best equipment you can find. But first you have to find the secret key.
In addition, with Season 13 there is a new ranking season, adjustments to Sanhok and more. The official list of features reads as follows:
- New ranking season: Update 13.1 introduces a new Ranked Season, which means that any ranked Season 12 rewards earned will be automatically added to players’ inventories once Season 13 goes live on August 4th. Ranked season 13 will run for two months, similar to the previous ranking seasons.
- Adjustments for Taego: In addition to the aforementioned secret room, there will be more air drops on Taego so that all players have a greater chance of obtaining valuable loot. There will also be emergency landings of the take-off aircraft on the map at the beginning of some matches. If players fly over the map at the beginning of a round, the aircraft’s engine may explode, forcing players to make an emergency landing. If players choose to stay on board until landing, they will start the match at 50 percent HP.
- Adjustments for Sanhok: Even after the complete overhaul last year, the PUBG Studios team continues to work on improving Sanhok. Update 13.1 will adjust the geography of the northwest island with small cliffs and rocks that provide cover for players moving across the shore.
- Map rotation: With Update 13.1, Paramo will be replaced by Karakin in normal matches. The new map rotation for matches looks like this:
