Beta for SSD Storage Expansion Now Available

Beta, Expansion, SSD, storage

One of the most criticized aspects of the PS5 at its launch was its relatively small internal storage space.. Although the advertising claimed that it would have 825 GB, more than 100 GB are dedicated to the correct functioning of games and other applications. In total, players are 667GB – a minuscule amount considering the size of games today. Even more worrying, it did not offer a solution to that problem.

Shortly before the launch of PS5, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it would work to allow console users to expand internal storage via an M.2 SSD.. It’s been almost 9 months since then, but Sony has finally released the first beta ‘software’ update for PS5. This not only improves the interface, but also enables the use of M.2 SSD to expand the storage of the console.
