Valve continues to give interviews related to the Steam Deck, the new device for gamers that has changed the face at the end of the year for many. The company has made an effort to communicate on several occasions that the Steam Deck is not as a console, but as a portable PC and that, in addition, it is not ready yet.
It is precisely for this reason that Newell was asked if, as Valve president, he has made any specific requests to the designers, he replied that he is another tester of the company. This means that the founder of the company has dedicated himself to testing the PC in different ways in search of something to improve or eliminate.
DOTA 2 as a base

Dota II is one of Valve’s most important titles, it is exclusive to Steam and one of the most relevant MOBAS on the market, second only to League of Legends. This must be controlled with the mouse and keyboard, two devices that can be plugged into the Steam Deck but are not standard in the box.
The device comes with a virtual keyboard and two track pads that act as a mouse, but many gamers worry that character control with these is the most appropriate. That is why he was also asked about the track pads and if they had been important to him in the design of the notebook.
Newell nodded at the question and added “But that’s my gamer opinion, isn’t it? I’m not speaking here as president of Valve ”. So it seems that Dota can be played well, in fact we would bet on an adaptation that adjusts to the controls that relies on the handling of the track pads.
