With iOS 14, Apple introduced widgets on the home screen. Now, almost a year later, Google has updated Google Maps to integrate the function into your iPhone application. Users of the application can use two types of widgets to personalize our home screen on iPhone.
Of the widgets new for google maps
Google Maps update 5.74 brings the first two widgets to the application. The first of these is a 2×2 square in which we will see the state of the traffic, restaurant ratings, hours and more details from a specific location. The other is a more common 2×4 size and allows quick access to finding the app, driving directions to home, to work, and nearby restaurants and supermarkets.
The latter is the most common when it comes to personalizing the iPhone home screen. The opening of each function quickly brings us to the corresponding section of the application, without authorizing actions within the application itself widget.
The widgets received several new features with iOS 15. Among them, its long-awaited extension to the iPad, the incorporation of various widgets new ones like Contacts or Mail, and a new smart stack.
