SkateBIRD is postponed to September 16th

16th, postponed, September, SkateBIRD

In quite a fun video the developers of SkateBIRD announced the postponement of the game. Originally scheduled for August 12th, the Glass Bottom Games team is now proposing a date for September 16th. Obviously, the title that mixes Ollie and Bird will still appear in Xbox Game Pass once it’s released.

You may have tested this game at the Xbox Summer Game Fest last year. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait an extra month before you can do your best tricks with a chick. The developer says the delay is a reflection of its commitment to deliver the game across all platforms at the same time. Glass Bottom Games has also confirmed the existence of post-launch support including a “Pet the Bird Mode” and a “Skate Heaven” scene.

It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but SkateBIRD has always been a game to do your best at, and we owe it to our funders, fans, and other bird enthusiasts to deliver the game in its own best condition. As a small independent studio, certification on multiple platforms requires a lot of additional work. Launching September 16, 2021 will allow us to step up our efforts to bring SkateBIRD to PC and consoles the same day!

If you want to try the fabulous mix of skateboarding and ornithology, make a note of September 16th. As a matter of fact, SkateBIRD will be available directly in Xbox Game Pass.
