The G733 is a continuation of the style of the G433 and G533 with modern but clean lines. Wireless, easy to use, but limited to certain platforms, we take a short tour of the owner in search of the qualities and flaws of this colorful model.
For this test, We were spoiled with two models, the classic that was launched in its black version last August and the special K / DA edition that Logitech has just presented. Two series that only differ in their aesthetics, whereby their technical properties and the accessories supplied are absolutely the same. We therefore find in each box the headset, a USB dongle of the same color and a USB / USB-C cable to secure the cargo. Also note that the classic version of the G733 so far exists in 4 colors: black, blue, mauve and a white version on which the K / DA model is based. Again, everything is a matter of taste.

A nice level of manufacturing
At first glance, the G733 looks very serious. No squeaking when used for the first time and a nice quality impression despite a fairly surprising ease given the fairly large volume it takes up. It can be twisted in all directions, quickly returns to its place without showing the slightest weakness or hearing the slightest crackle. In terms of finish, we have a thick, matte and slightly grainy plastic on most of the surfaces, with a slightly shiny strip around the headset and behind its articulation to please the fingerprint amateurs.
The G733 is constructed around two parallel and flexible tires supported by an elastic band. In addition, she and she alone come into contact with the parting. We really appreciated this combination, especially since it offers a very satisfactory setting, on the one hand the possibility of placing each side of the elastic band at two different heights, and on the other hand an adjustable height for each, 1.5 centimeters per side. Global, the helmet fits most skull sizes, with a good positioning of the atria thanks to a ball joint that adds 15 ° vertically.
A light and very comfortable helmet
In addition, the G733 is particularly comfortable to wear. It’s reasonably firm on the sides, but not too oppressive, and it provides good weight distribution between the hanger and the ear cups. Well placed on the skull, we forget about it pretty quickly and it is noticeable to be able to wear it for hours without the slightest discomfort and without feeling like having to replace it. It’s really good for a closed helmet. The atriums are not free. Thick enough to isolate outside noise, and compatible with eyeglass wearers, its finely woven fabric lets some air through and offers a less present feel than synthetic leather.
And of course there is this weight, at only 280 grams, almost 100 grams less than the brand’s Pro X Wireless, which in the long term prevents the whole thing from weighing on the cervical vertebrae. It’s not quite up to the level of what Plantronics offers, but we’re almost there.
Limited in terms of compatibility
The G733 works wirelessly, with a battery, with an announced autonomy of 29 hours without RGB lighting and 20 hours with activated colors. Values that we could have checked at 90% sound power (and thus a little less if you constantly use the headphones at 100%). On the headset, it offers a volume (that of the operating system) by wheel, microphone mute and an on / off button. For his connection rely solely on Logitech’s LightSpeed Wireless protocol and its USB dongle. This is the main limitation of the headset, which neither works with standard Bluetooth nor with an analog source in mini jack 3.5. On the one hand, it stops abruptly when the battery runs out, and on the other hand, it is limited to certain platforms, namely computers, PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles, and the Switch only in docked mode.
The G Hub interface as efficient as ever
After all, only Mac and Windows PCs can be used G HUB software interface which is included with this G733. An interface that, like that of the G PRO series, invites you to enjoy many settings and effects for the microphone, under the supervision of Blue Microphone, the studio / streaming subsidiary of Logitech. Neophytes will therefore find parameters limited to the simplest with profile management and import of settings, while the more experienced can dive into equalization, compression, filters, and the noise gate to precisely sharpen their voice. And if it still lacks a dampener for ambient noise for the ears, that of the microphone is quite effective in the median values. Also note that We really appreciated the proximity effectwhich allows you to hear your voice in the headphones as you speak, on the one hand for the quality of the playback and on the other hand for the accuracy of the proposed adjustment.
A little word also about lighting as it is available which can be changed on 4 zones, two per side or in all synchronized (with or not with other brand products as well). But beyond the usual effects Nevertheless, we noticed one function: the adaptation of the color to that of the screenthat automatically switches the LEDs to the dominant color of a screen area. It works very well, is smart, practical and gives this lighting a little aesthetic feel.
Balanced sound for your ears and voice
Even before we run through the equalization, the G733 offers us a balanced and very pleasant sound. Its highs enjoy a nice finesse and a good presence in the highest part of the spectrum. Those who like detailed tones will be served. At the same time, the mids retain a reasonable space, enough to make the voices audible, but limited enough to avoid any aggression.
The bass has its right place, which would have deserved a little more decibels with standard equalization. Small detail, we found some frequencies that made the shell of the headset vibrate slightly at low frequencies at high volume. Not enough to scream scandal but a little embarrassment for the program for whom the vibrations will be noticed. The equalizer, on the other hand, allows you to really shape the sound, with nice responses from the speakers, as always with the brand. So it is possible to inflate or attenuate all frequencies without the saturation putting your nose into business.
At the same time, we cannot say that the volume reached at full power is that high. It’s enough to play, to watch a movie, but we wouldn’t have said no to a few more watts just to have a little reserve. Happily, the passive isolation of the headphones is quite good. Not enough to play in a crowded room, but enough so that everyday noises don’t distract you from your gaming concentration even without maximum volume.
Ultimately, our first concern was about the detachable boom microphone in memory of the disappointing G Pro X Wireless. And of course, Logitech revamped its copy and made things better. The sound obtained here is much more natural, precise, with a respected timbre, albeit a bit treble-heavy. On the other hand, It will be necessary to control the volume of the voice so as not to get saturatedwhere the capsule’s degree of accumulation is rather low and the first signs of signal limitation arrive quickly. It is therefore in clear progress, perfectly suited for streaming, with additional tools that are still just as enjoyable on the G HUB side but can get even better.
A very successful model with little lacking
In the end, when it comes to counting the good and bad points, this G733 does really well. It is convenient, very convenient, light and high quality, it offers a nice sound to the ears with a high quality microphone. What would be better? Of course, an opening to more platforms would have been desirable, for example with a mini jack input and Bluetooth compatibility. Enough to make it a major market reference, especially since the asking price, namely $ 149 in the introductory price, is absolutely in line with the performance level of the headset.

Points fortresses
- A sober, elegant, well-made helmet
- Super comfort and easy adjustment
- A very good sound, balanced and without aggressiveness
- 20 hours of autonomy
- The customization options of the software, Mac and Windows
- The sound of the microphone, clean
- The range and quality of the wireless connection
- A good insulation / ventilation compromise
Weak points
- No analog input / output
- No bluetooth either
- Slight vibration with some low frequencies
Logitech signs a very consistent model with this G733. The comfort, build quality, sound quality and ergonomics are all there, and we appreciate dealing with a lightweight headset that gives us confidence in its build quality. Supported by the excellent G HUB software with all of Blue Microphones’ voice tools, the sound is quickly and easily shaped to create profiles that are more oriented than the frequency balance suggested by default. Its introductory price of $ 149 makes it the first choice if you accept the limitations of its wireless connection via USB dongle.
