The PS5 is currently available from Media Markt and Saturn for 1 euro. The offer did not convince us at first. But now the dealers are improving.
- Media Markt and Saturn offer the PS5 with a mobile phone contract from 1 euro. A second controller is included with the console.
- So far, however, the mobile phone contracts offered only offered low data transfer rates. This looks different in the new “green LTE 30 GB” tariff.
- Alternatively, you can get the PS5 currently at Mobilcom Debitel and 1&1.
the PS5 is out of stock in many places, but now Media Markt and Saturn have apparently secured a lot of consoles. Because the PS5 is currently displayed as available at both retailers – but not in the regular online shop, but in the tariff world of the two retailers. Here you can buy them in connection with a mobile phone contract. The delivery time is currently up to five days.
You have the choice between six tariffs. These differ among other things in the included data volume. You can choose between 5, 10, 15, 20, 26 and 30 gigabytes. The 30 GB version has now been added.

When the contract is concluded, a connection fee of 39.99 dollars, shipping costs of at least 3.95 dollars and a one-time payment for the console are due. The discount is the lowest at EUR 1 for the Telekom Green LTE 26 GB and Vodafone Green LTE 30 GB tariffs. With the other tariffs you pay 99 dollars (PS5 with Vodafone Green LTE 20 GB), 149 dollars (Vodafone Green LTE 15 GB) or 219 dollars (Vodafone Green LTE 10 GB) or 349 dollars (Vodafone Green LTE 5 GB) for the PS5 .
The monthly fees for the tariffs are as follows:
- Vodafone Green LTE 5 GB: 19.99 dollars
- Vodafone Green LTE 10 GB: 26.99 dollars
- Vodafone Green LTE 15 GB: 31.99 dollars
- Vodafone Green LTE 20 GB: 36.99 dollars
- Telekom Green LTE 26 GB: 39,99 Euro
- Vodafone Green LTE 30 GB: 39.99 dollars
Please note: After the end of the minimum contract period, the monthly fees increase. We therefore advise you to terminate the contract in good time.
Transmission speed is the catch
The “Green LTE” tariff includes an all-network flat rate to all German networks and an LTE flat rate. It is mainly implemented in the Vodafone network; you only surf the Telekom network with the 26 GB tariff. With many of the tariffs mentioned, the data transmission rates are well below the usual LTE values.
In the “Vodafone Green LTE 10, 15 and 20 GB” tariff, for example, you surf with a maximum of 50 megabits per second in the down or 25 megabits per second in the upload, with the tariffs “Vodafone Green LTE 5 GB” and “Telekom Green LTE 26 GB “it is only 21.6 Mbit / s in the down and 3.6 Mbit / s in the upload. On the other hand, the speed in the Vodafone Green LTE 30 GB tariff is significantly better. Here you have 100 Mbit / s down and 25 Mbit / s up. The minimum contract period is 24 months.
2. Controller free
With all six offers, Media Markt and Saturn add a second controller in the color “black” to the console free of charge.
The offer was initially limited in time and only available between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. the following day, now both retailers list the console permanently in their tariff world. However, the offer is only valid while stocks last.
PS5 with contract: these are your alternatives
Don’t you like the tariffs offered by Media Markt and Saturn? Then you can consider concluding a DSL or mobile phone contract with another provider. The current is PS5 bei 1&1 available. Even Mobilcom-Debitel has PS5 consoles in stock. One Pre-order is also possible with Flymobile, but you will probably have to wait longer for delivery there.
Bid now and then Media Markt and Saturn also have the console in their online shop without a contract on – last on July 29th. So keep an eye on the shop, you might be lucky.
