Best Nostalgic Switch Games Games – Feature

feature, Games, nostalgic, Switch

Ah nostalgia – it's brilliant. How often do we go back to look at the precious classic only to find that today's games have ruined us, if only for a few? Of all the great features of retro games, the mods of performance and performance we now use to be very good, too, and sometimes getting back on track can be difficult. Was this decline always here? I do not remember the look of this complex. You mean I have to start all over again?!

Fortunately, alongside all the memories, revenge and retro compilations that break the hard edges of game classics and accumulate them in the 21st century, there is a huge number of modern releases that are taxing retro games. Taking a basic or two-dimensional mechanic, these skills take advantage of the advances in decades of technology and knowledge to replicate modern twisted gameplay.

Below you will find some of our favorite nostalgia tours available on the switch. They are not in any particular order and most of the games on this list have many muses, so the impetus noted would be the end of the ice wing.

Of course, Turnch's list of retro-inspired pixel games is like your arm, and there's more to say than you'll find below, but the titles here are our absolute favorites – the games that give us the feeling we remember when we first played Classics 8- and 16- bit of inspiration.

So, let's take a look at our favorite modern games with an irresistible retro vibe …

Shamvel Knight: Treasure Trove (Swap Shop)Shamvel Knight: Treasure Trove (Swap Shop)

Publisher: Yacht Club Games / Developer: Yacht Club Games

Release date: 3rd Mar 2017 (USA) / 3rd Mar 2017 (UK / EU)

Inspired by: Zelda II: The Link Adventure, DuckTales, Mega Man, The castlegumi, list in progress …

The impact list is as long as your arm (which is the developer of Yacht Club itself agreeing with the comics fashion), Shovel Knight he was passing by way of vanilla, though Treasure Tuff including everything the Yacht Club developer has created for the game since their Kickstarter success came back in 2013. That includes additional Shadow Report campaigns, Specter of Torment and Lord of Cards, and a multiplayer banner Exhibition which also increases the attractiveness of an already powerful package. The games are a great scent in the glory days of the 8-bit (+) platform, and having a complete Shovel Knight experience in one place makes this a must for Switch owners – especially those who haven't played in the game with the addition of Kings. Beat the world!

198X (Swap eShop)198X (Swap eShop)

Publisher: Hi Bit Studios / Developer: Hi Bit Studios

Release date: 23 Jan 2020 (USA) / 23 Jan 2020 (UK / EU)

Inspired by: Poetry of the Rage, Type-Rs, Relax Run, Shinobi, Kill Screen, & # 39; 80s

A lovely love letter to years ago, 198X celebrates 2D, an arcade based on fantasy games and wraps it up with some of the greatest hand drawn art we've seen in years. The soundtrack is also unique, and, with pure presentation, it is very difficult to suspect what is on offer here. The biggest weakness of the 198X is its prominence; you can complete it in about an hour, but the experience will last longer after the credits are over. While we are sure many people would consider the lack of game to be a great sin, we would recommend you try it, if you are a fan of & # 39; 80s & # 39; 90s games, appreciate the sharp 2D art and just wish it reaches your consciousness – even if it doesn't last. all for a long time.

Blood: The Curse of the Moon It is undoubtedly intended for a direct audience, but if that listener is you you are lucky. Castlegumi: Symphony of the Night nuts can require full fat Blood: The Night Tradition (and the switchch seems to be a bit slow but still brings its way closer to experienced players on some of its favorite platforms), but if the 8-bit Castvanias enjoy it more than just the fast-paced style, this is a great way to give back as you may wish.

Out Run may be the obvious comparison here, but the Horizon Chase Turbo actually feels like a modern interpretation of Top Gear games from the SNES days. Mega Man 11 a good reboot of the Blue Bomber, mimicking ancient gameplay and truly experimenting with modern touches and new ideas that extend existing concepts in interesting ways. The basic platform gameplay is as solid and challenging as you remember, and when combined with new visualizations and additional revenge options, you get as much good game as the one that came before, while passing through them in other ways. Mega Man 11 is a modern, fitting refreshment for your favorite series, and we highly recommend you add this to your Swap library if you are new or have been playing since the days of the NES.

Featuring a long and impressive campaign, incredible sound and sophisticated design, we can hardly say anything about its high chiptune sound. Inspired by: … you're not even trying, are you?

Sonic Mania it was a real return to build the SEGA mascot, in the 2D & # 39; Classic & # 39; at least, and celebrates the glory days of the Mega Drive / Genesis games while expanding its qualities and adopting new ideas. From new locations, second thoughtful action and some exciting reunions to management, the development team has poured a lot of passion and talent into the project. The new characters and methods that came in the Plus update have added some of the cleanest ink that removed the existing releases, and after a history of blue hedgehog in the intervening decades, it was very exciting to see him return from one of the best 2D platforms in recent memory.

It's really a magic job; games can be entertaining but don't make all the power of motivation like these. It's the kind of game that requires a certain amount of time to be consumed; the sweetness comes not from the everyday things you do, but rather from the usual surge of pride, contentment, and sense of security as the days pass by on this new, 16-color farm. Game lovers like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing it will be right here at home.

While Super Metroid is still playing well these days, the first NES game is not as high as it can be, and playing a bit of Axiom Verge only highlights how far we've come since.

Cuphead (Switch eShop)Cuphead (Switch eShop)

Cuphead fires and nostalgia come from all sectors. Whether you're intrigued by its pre-20th-century animation style or can't get enough of the rushing crew of rifles and guns, the StudioMDHR club – which was an Xbox One console special until it jumped on Switch – is a jaw-dropping, similarly natural thriller, whitewashed was not in the Microsoft console and the switchch library is pretty much its presence. Its focus on big bus battles may not be everyone's favorite, but as long as you know what you're getting yourself we can't recommend it enough. Of course see on it!

Hotline Miami Collection (Swap Shop)Hotline Miami Collection (Swap Shop)

Publisher: Devolver Digital / Developer: Dennaton Games

Release date: 19 Aug 2019 (USA) / 19 Aug 2019 (UK / EU)

Inspired by: the top of the bottom Grand Theft Auto games, Call, & # 39; 80s

Both games in this collection offer some of the most addictive and lucrative feelings (not to mention senseless violence) that you can play everywhere. Switch versions do not bring anything new to the table, but if you want to experience these games for the first time (or again) on the mobile platform, this is the place to go. The sequel is down to two games here but the pixel art and sylwave soundtrack of them both has grown quite a bit since 2012 – probably because the potential for this fun in 2020 is still shining by 2020.
