In contrast to Amazon’s MMO with the imprint The Lord of the Rings, the series project is still alive. In addition, tonight the American giant formalized a release date for the highly anticipated series with a first image of Middle-earth as a bonus.
To say the Lord of the Rings series is highly anticipated is an understatement. The one that promises to be the most expensive series ever produced currently still has some fuzziness : For example, we didn’t know the title, plot, and release date before.
However, it is now possible for us to delete one of the three mentions thereAmazon has just formalized the start date of the series: The date is therefore set for Friday, September 2, 2022.
The wait may be long now that you know that we will have to patiently endure our troubles for over a year. And the dissemination of an initial advertising image doesn’t really help us in this direction.
Amazon reveals an important place in Middle-earth, immersed in the Second Age. That’s thousands of years before the original trilogy and the Hobbit trilogy. As said above, if we do not yet know the plot, this is already a first train of thought in addition to the unpublished picture.
We see a huge expanse, which underlines the epic character of Middle-earth well, as well as a city enclosed by a hill with rivers and a huge tree in the background. While in the foreground an enigmatic figure dressed in white turns his back on us and looks towards the horizon. This plan would be carried over from the very first episode of the series as well.
We just have to wait for the first information, or rather the first extracts. to find out what Amazon has in store for us with this serial work inspired by JRR Tolkien.
