Although the next Call of Duty is just around the corner this year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare of 2019 is still not resting. After there were only recently new maps for the multiplayer mode, Infinity Ward is now adding two new pieces of content.
This is on the one hand with the CX-9 with a new weapon and on the other hand with Soap around a long awaited operator. In the next section, we’ll tell you how to unlock both types of content.
How to unlock the CX-9
The SMG CX-9 was discovered some time ago in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, although the weapon was not officially in the game until now. With a fresh update that has now changed and everyone can get the gun. There are two ways of doing this.
Complete weapon challenge: In Modern Warfare or Warzone, achieve two longshot skills with any SMG in five different matches. The CX-9 is then automatically activated and can be used by you.

Buy Blueprint: Alternatively, you can purchase the Soap Operator Bundle in the store for 2,400 COD points (equivalent to around 20 dollars). In addition to the operator, the bundle also contains the blueprint for the Serac CX-9.
Regardless of which path you choose, in the end you can use the CX-9 in both Modern Warfare and Warzone (if part of your loadout).
How to unlock soap as an operator
Soap MacTavish has also long been expected by the community as its own operator. The protagonist of the first Modern Warfare game is after all a fan favorite alongside Captain Price. However, soap cannot be activated purely through play.
Instead, the operator is only available in Soap Operator Bundle, which costs 2,400 COD points. The bundle contains the following items in total:
- Highlands skin for soap
- SOAP Mission
- Serac CX-9 Blueprint
- Suilven Handgun Blueprint
- Alpenstock Melee Blueprint
- »To The Top« Weapon Charm
- »Point Taken« Finishing Move
- »Scan The Vista« Calling Card
- »Cold Depths« Emblem
- »Clean Cut« Spray

Those who purchase the bundle can of course also use the content in Call of Duty: Warzone.
What’s next with Call of Duty?
It remains to be seen whether the release of the new weapon and the operator will finally put an end to the content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. After all, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have surprised software with short-term releases in the past.
Call of Duty: Warzone, on the other hand, will soon start in Season 5. We have all the information about the start date and content ready for you in a separate article:
