Game news South Park: a new game in the pipeline? The creators of the series got us on our way
In the hands of Obsidian and Ubisoft, the irreverent South Park series was a huge hit, twice in 2014 and 2017. But things seem to have stalled since then. We say “seem” because a recent Bloomberg article suggests that things move around the Trey Parker and Matt Stone series.
It all started with a report discovered by Bloombergwhich indicates that the series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker recently started a new company. The main purpose would be to use funds for ” Invest in a wide variety of creative activities, including… a 3D video game in the world of South Park ». Note that under an agreement with ViacomCBS, the game, as well as other projects around South Park, would be funded over nearly $ 1 billion.
Among the many activities that the two makers have in mind, we can obviously find film projects that are for the streaming service of the Paramount company, called Paramount +, or even …
However, what we do notice is, of course, the mention of a new video game.
Time again, we do not know, as Jason Schreier mentions, the identity of the companies involved in the development and release of the game. We will therefore have to wait a little more detail to give us an idea of the direction that this future episode will take.
