A modmaker created a portable PS2 console called PS2 Eclipse

This very cool handheld computer includes a PS2 motherboard, which basically allows you to play PS2 games anytime, anywhere.

Created by the console module GingerOfOz Who made the Game Boy-sized portable Wii, PS2 Eclipse Runs on a streamlined PS2 motherboard.

Together with the custom circuit board, the main board is inserted into the 3D printed enclosure. Then it is equipped with a PlayStation Vita button, a joystick from the Switch, and a 5-inch 480p display.

The handheld device also has speakers, a headphone jack, and a battery life indicator.

This sounds cool, but it’s not perfect.

As The Verge pointed out, because the game loads slowly from the USB drive, it may cause the game to freeze, and the loading time is obviously very slow. It is sometimes difficult to detect the connected controller, and some games refuse to load.

Unlike the portable Wii he created, GingerOfOz has no plans to mass-produce and sell them.
