According to several insiders who have been saying it for many weeks, Activision is preparing a remaster of the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 single-player campaign, which would initially have been exclusive to Sony consoles in order to finally become cross-platform. Yet everything is being challenged by communications from Activision.
As usual, these rumors were to be treated with caution, especially since MW2Ghost, the leaker, has made some progress, announced a release in the second trimester this year and nothing happened. Still, these were rumors very instantaneous, and that the publication of Remaster for the campaigns of the first two opus probably done the arrival of a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign remaster. So it appears that the company is focusing on the new installment of the license, which is code-named vanguard, as well as the further development of Call of Duty Warzone. Current and as stated Xboxygen, the only way to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is through launch the Xbox 360 version on the Xbox series thanks to backward compatibility. Keep in mind that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War / Warzone Season 5 will arrive on August 12th.
