After the PC version was released in 2020, Microsoft flight simulator launched on July 27th on Xbox Series X | S to appear. Since then, it’s been a parallel development of the two versions that allows Asobo Studios developers to share updates.
This week is therefore a “hotfix” that updates the game to version 1.18.15.0 and brings the following changes:
- Corrected ground details when flying at aircraft altitude are now correct
- The image of the clouds and the luminosity below are corrected
- Fixed missing lighting effects
- Abnormal temperature peaks over airports have been corrected
Further corrections have been made to the entire simulation part of Microsoft flight simulator, the full list can be found here. A known bug regarding the displayed altitude will be fixed in World Update 6. Regarding the Xbox Series X | S applies: this new update from Microsoft flight simulator seems to have increased the stability of the quick resume as you can see in this video by Tom Warren.
I often forget how good the Quick Resume feature is on the Xbox Series X / S. Here it works with Microsoft Flight Simulator on an Xbox Series S, so you can easily switch quickly in the middle of a flight. I wish pc had that! pic.twitter.com/o5qwtw3LyO
