Dying Light 2 is one of the most anticipated games. In addition, the Techland title will offer a wide variety of performance and quality options in the next generation versions, designed so that all users can find their ideal configuration.
Now, thanks to an interview conducted by MP1st, Piotr Pwlaczyk, the game’s lead designer, has spoken about what we can expect in Game Quality mode.
4K, 60FPS, VRR, … Dying Light 2 will have all the options
According to his statements, players will find a much improved scene quality in this configuration. Not just because of RayTracing or 4K, but because of ambient lighting, volumetric effects, or post-processing elements.
We are developing various options for the new generations. For players who prefer visual experiences, we have prepared the Quality mode which, through the use of RayTracing, has significantly improved the quality of the scene, with an emphasis on ambient lighting. In quality mode, players will maintain greater precision in volumetric effects, other image post-processing elements, and more. The RayTracing itself is then the basic part for generating, for example, physically correct shadows.
Of course, this is only one of the modes available. Others are aimed at gamers who prefer a silky smooth experience, also known as performance mode, with high speed photographers (60fps + optional VRRR), making the experience of the game elements faster even smoother.
Without a doubt, the two configurations for the game seem the most interesting. However, it’s worth noting that Piotr mentions that these two options are just a few of the ones we’ll find in Dying Light 2, so we still have to find out what other options will make users choose.
Dying Light 2 will be available next December on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC.
