We keep moving forward with Xbox Cloud Gaming. After the beta phase for the browser integration has already started, it is now time to integrate it into the Xbox app for Windows.
Xbox Cloud Gaming can now be tried out in the Xbox app for W indows, provided you are a participant in the Windows Insider Program and have a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Microsoft is thus expanding the beta phase for the operation of the cloud gaming service for PC, after the browser integration was already started in June.
This gives you the opportunity to play your Xbox games directly via the app on your PC, provided you have a USB or BlueTooth gamepad. It remains to be seen whether official support for the mouse and keyboard will follow at some point. The games are streamed via the app in 1080p at 60 fps. Practical: you can also use your current scores from the console via the app. Since it is a streaming service, you can play your Xbox games on PCs or notebooks with little power.
Additional features such as information about the controller and network have been added as well as social features so that you can also invite other players to your games. It is not yet known when the service will officially be launched for all players. On the basis of the beta that has now started, Microsoft wants to collect further feedback.
