Greetings adventurers! The bustling city of Never winter is preparing to welcome new players and veterans in the next module, Jewel of the North, which launches on August 24! In anticipation of that, we’ve put together some tips for getting you through Neverwinter.

  1. Explore the Protector’s Enclave – Once you have completed the initial quests, you will arrive at the Protector’s Enclave (PE) where adventures can find various locations for all their needs.
  2. Know the contact locations of your non-player character (NPC) – NPCs are essential to help you start your adventures. With the release of Jewel of the North, some NPCs left their previous locations. Sgt. Knox can now be found in the Adventurers Guild.
  3. Take advantage of the new training room – A special half-plane has been created for adventurers to practice techniques and test their mettle! Access to this unique area can be found in the Adventurers Guild.
  1. Get in touch with your event contacts – The heralds for most events can be found on the large event platform on the ground floor of the Protector’s Enclave. These NPCs will provide adventurers with introductory quests and present the event rewards!
  2. Special sellers and traders – Some merchants for special events such as Neverember Recruitment have posted themselves in the Seven Suns Coster Marketplace. Unique currencies can be used to trade with these vendors.
  3. Control the bard, don’t let the bard control you – The new Bard class has special and unique mechanics: Perform and Free Perform. The C, D, E and F notes are activated via the Cross, Circle, Triangle and Square buttons. G, A, B, C notes are activated via directional buttons. Make more music in quick pitches and octaves with the controller’s R1, R2, L1 and L2 buttons.
  1. A rewarding entry – Be sure to go through the rewards claim agent on launch day for free giveaways! The launch of Jewel of the North will also launch 20 different Weekly Giveaways.
  2. Maximum level change – Do you feel… younger? No, it’s not your imagination! With the level changes introduced in this new mod, the level cap has been adjusted to 20. Characters who were at level 80 will be upgraded to level 20 and will be given a free gear pack.
  3. Whistle while you work – While the Master Professions will appear at a later date after the mod launch, the Profession and Craftsman levels have been adjusted to align with the new maximum level. For new adventurers, the quest “A Workshop Opportunity” will become available at level 8.
  1. A change of scenery – Seasoned adventurers will find that some areas appear to have disappeared. This content “storage” was done to streamline the leveling experience and get heroes to epic content faster. The following areas will disappear on launch day, so be sure to stop for one last time:
    • Blacklake neighborhood
    • Tower district
    • Blackdagger Ruins
    • Helm’s Hold
    • Pirate fortress
    • Rothe Valley
    • Mount Hotenow
  1. Play in style – With many styles of fashion available, players have a variety of appearance options to choose from. New fashion items will initially be added to the Vanity Pet and Fashion tab of your inventory. Make sure to add these fashion pieces to your library of appearances.
  2. Manage overflow – The adventure can be rewarding but also cumbersome if your suitcases fill up! Surplus items will be added to a special overflow bag which must be cleaned up before performing any other heroic deeds.
  3. There is no place like home – Teleport Stones can be found in various adventure areas, including the Protector’s Enclave. Interact with one of these stones to set it as your “home” for teleportation.

To celebrate the launch, the New Beginnings Pack will be available for PlayStation Plus users! This pack contains:

  • Bard woman hairstyle
  • Long undercut masculine hairstyle
  • 200 zen

The Neverwintans can’t wait to hear more fine music and epic swashbuckling stories across the land, as the Bards will surely make their presence known. Lord Neverember and the citizens of Neverwinter are eager to showcase the luxury and beauty of their city – the Jewel of the North and the most beautiful region of Faerûn!
