After very long months punctuated by hallway noise and rumors, Intel decided to introduce ARC, its future range of consumer graphics cards, bringing AMD and Nvidia together in this small market.

The small middle of the gaming graphics cards has the right to one further participant, Intel, who should release this new ARC range in the first quarter of 2022 without further details.

The third man

These GPUs will benefit from the DG2 architecture, which is dearly nicknamed “Alchemist” to the general public. These should be available as desktop and laptop versions, but without providing information on their respective performance. We just know that Intel really wants to compete with Nvidia and AMD. It remains to be seen whether they will also position themselves in the high-end segment.

We know they will be compatible with DirectX 12 and current graphics technologies such as variable rate shading or ray tracing. We even know that Intel is relying on accelerated super-sampling technology to have its own version of DLSS.

The manufacturer even named the next generations Battlemage, Celestial and Druid. In short, a great nod to the heroic fantasy of the west.
