In the immediate aftermath of Call of Duty: Vanguard alpha, which took place last weekend, developer Sledgehammer Games has informed fans of what to expect from the beta phase when it begins later this month. As well as providing a general rundown of what the beta will have in store, the studio has also let fans know what kinds of alterations will come after the alpha.
When it comes to the changes Call of Duty: Vanguard alpha players can expect to see in the beta, Sledgehammer Games has said that it will update both the visuals and the audio. Additionally, the spawn timers on Champion Hill, which were a common complaint from many players, will also be changed to give players a better chance of not dying after immediately reviving.
Looking at the beta version of Vanguard as a whole, 5 different multiplayer maps are said to be available for testing over the course of the testing phase. Six different game modes will then be available to play (not including Champion Hill). Finally, six operators can be used, while weapons can be upgraded to level 30 at most during the beta.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is scheduled to release later this year, on November 5, and will hit the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. As for the beta version itself, it is scheduled to start on September 10 for PlayStation users at the beginning. The full beta for all players will begin at the end of the month on September 18 and will last until the 20th.

FEATURES
Combat stimulation
Combat Pacing is a feature that allows players to select the intensity of their games. The player count is determined by the size of the map to achieve the intensity described in the Combat Pacing System. Player counts will vary.
- Tactical: These are the lobbyists that franchise veterans know well. This is the experience you are used to with classic Call of Duty fighting times. The tactical combat pace is always 6v6.
- Assault – Balanced combat pace that gives you plenty of room to breathe and plenty of targets to kill. In Beta Weekend 1, the number of players will vary between 20 and 28 players.
- Blitz: High action lobbies where the intensity rises to frantic levels. Prepare for a ton of combat by choosing to join a Blitz. In Beta Weekend 1, the number of players will vary between 28 and 48 players.
