What is Far Cry 3 about?
In Far Cry 3, one of the most charismatic video game villains stands in your way. You actually wanted to go on a hip party vacation with your friends on the paradisiacal Caribbean island of Rook Island, but antagonist Vaas Montenegro and his gang of pirates prefer to take you hostage. The villains have even taken over the whole island and are now following the megalomaniac plans of Vaas. Your character is called Jason Brody and can escape at the beginning.
From now on, you’ll make your way through the big island open world, make alliances with the residents, hunt animals and play a relaxed game of poker. But these are all bonuses, the core of Far Cry 3 of course consists of the shootings when you gradually recapture the island from the bad guys. Different weapons, grenades and rockets serve the action fanatic, while the stealth mechanics also allow to take the bases of Vaas’ pirates very secretly.

No joke, if you like first-person shooters but haven’t played Far Cry 3 yet, there is a huge gap in knowledge. The graphics from 2012 can no longer keep up with current games, but the gameplay loop hardly lost any of its fun factor.
If you are waiting for the release of Far Cry 6 on October 7, 2021, Far Cry 3 could pass the time or whet your appetite for the game. That should also be Ubisoft’s intention behind the game gift.
